MEDICAL EDUCATION MODELS

For pathology-based teaching & learning

Current Medical Education Landscape

Conventional educational aids such as animals and medical mannequins are only approximates of human anatomy. Even for human cadavers, they may not reflect the pathology required for specific surgical skills training. Furthermore, using diseased bodies for training would require a controlled environment, adding complexity to the class preparation.

As a result, optimum and easily accessible pathology-based learning is often compromised.

The Solution

3D-PRINTED EDUCATION MODELS

Gain precise pathology-specific 3D Edu-models to optimise your pathology-based teaching objectives. Customization on the anatomical model to better suit the intended training can be performed upon request.

BENEFITS

Optimizing Medical Pathology-based Teaching Methods

Customizable Pathology-based Anatomical Models

Creatz3D Medical provides a one-stop solution, from (optional) DICOM to 3D Model conversion to CAD design and multi-material 3D printing, in order to tailor-make anatomical models which suit your teaching objectives.

Emulate Textural Properties Similar to Real Anatomy

Creatz3D's in-house Stratasys Connex3 500 3D Printer prints up to 16-micron layer resolution, enabling precise and accurate detailing in texture and tactile feedback of the 3D printed, multi-material Edu-models, to better simulate pathological anatomies.

Handle Edu-Models In
Hassle-free Lab Conditions

Materials are inert, with no additional environment requirement for using the models, unlike cadavers. 3D printed Edu-models can be used in any classroom setting.

At Creatz3D Medical, we value collaborations with medical educators to enhance and improve the medical teaching landscape with 3D printing technologies. We provide a hassle-free experience of creating Educational Models derived from anatomical data and in-house CAD design, which are then 3D printed in high-precision and accuracy, and in multiple materials.

PATIENT-SPECIFIC MEDICAL CONGENITAL HEART MODELS

3D Printing Case-study Feature

Creatz3D Medical collaborated with KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) during a medical workshop “Surgical Morphology and Imaging of Congenital Heart Disease”, to produce patient-specific medical models for hands-on sessions.

With the utility of our in-house Connex3 500 3D Printer, the adoption of 3D Printing allowed the medical models to be produced in a proprietary rubber like material for tactile feedback, which enabled attendees with a greater understanding of the various abnormal anatomies.

More importantly, the highly accurate 3D printed medical models reflected the various abnormalities on demand, which allowed trainers to tailor their syllabus around teaching objectives, rather than being limited by available resources.

Conclusively, the collaboration allowed the optimization of pathology-based teaching methods, by complementing the professional skills of medical practitioners with our cutting edge 3D printing technologies.
